National Night Out

Each August, join Evans Fire, Evans Police, & other Evans neighborhoods for National Night Out - “America’s Night Out Against Crime”.  Since 1984, cities across America have organized events to promote involvement in crime prevention activities, police-community partnerships, neighborhood camaraderie, and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

Participating neighborhoods nationwide are asked to turn on outside lights and spend the evening outside with neighbors, citizens and police. Neighborhoods will be hosting a variety of events ranging from small potlucks and barbecues to large block parties and business-after-hours events.   This is also a great time to discuss or plan a Neighborhood Watch Program. It’s up to you - be creative, have fun and celebrate with your neighbors!
