EFPD provides all fire protection and emergency services to the residents, businesses, and property owners within the fire district, whose boundaries mirror those of the City of Evans. When needed, we also respond outside our District through agreements with other fire districts in the area. Residents may also see apparatus from other jurisdictions in Evans. By working together, we enhance our ability to serve the community, ensuring that incidents requiring more personnel or equipment than we have available receive the necessary support. This mutual sharing of resources maximizes efficiency and strengthens emergency responses. However, as each agency is managing increasing demands, this sharing of resources can become more complex and harder to accomplish. Historically, Evans has received more aid than it gives.
The District is bordered on the north by the City of Greeley, on the east and south by the LaSalle Fire District and on the west by the Front Range Fire Authority. The population of 24,000 is spread over a total of approximately 10 square miles.
