FULL-TIME FIREFIGHTER & FIREFIGHTER/PARAMEDIC

We will be hiring for both entry level and lateral Full-Time Firefighters and Firefighter/Paramedics.  When hiring processes open we’ll post details here and announce it on our social pages.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS for FIREFIGHTER:

  • High school diploma or GED;
  • Valid Driver’s License and insurable by the District’s Liability carrier;
  • At least 21 years of age;
  • CURRENT Firefighter I Certification – must meet ProBoard/IFSAC accreditation;
  • CURRENT Hazardous Materials Operations Certification – must meet ProBoard/IFSAC accreditation;
  • CURRENT EMT-B Certification – State of Colorado or National Registry;
  • Notice or Certificate stating you have passed a physical agility test (CPAT or statement from current department);
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language;
  • Ability to maintain physical fitness standards required of firefighters;
  • Ability to work within hostile environments common to firefighting, emergency medical response, rescues, hazardous materials incidents, and natural and manmade disasters;
  • Must be legally able to work in the United States

 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR FIREFIGHTER/PARAMEDIC:

  • State of Colorado or National Registry Paramedic Certification
  • Current AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification or equivalent
  • Current AHA PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification or equivalent

PART-TIME OPERATIONS & FINANCE ASSISTANT 

This position is still being developed. However, the job functions will be directly related to the general business operations of the District. The Operations & Finance Assistant will provide administrative support on a wide variety of clerical and financial projects and programs, including finance, accounting, budgeting, auditing, and purchasing; employee benefits; public relations; and legal and regulatory compliance.
